Walker and Lexie from Baxter Springs, KS

Walker and Lexie are the first children I photographed against our new (but aged!) brick wall in the outdoor garden. We also trimmed the wooden doors with brick. (You've seen the inside of our gorgeous doors, but this is the outside). Note to curious readers with discerning tastes: those doors were custom built by Southpaw Trimworks, based out of Neosho. And this link is for nosy women like me who want to see what the owners of a business look like. I mean, er, curious, not nosy. :)

Yes, Even Calotype Takes Vacations

Although it often seems like we work more than we play, we play while we work so I guess everyday's a vacation...

But for real, Calotype will be closed Sunday through Sunday, August 2nd through August 9th, as Jon and I take off for some much needed family time with Jack. We will be traveling to Indiana to spend time with my family, and I will return energized and full of crazy new ideas to try on you, my willing victims.

We're in the middle of booking high-school senior Portrait Sessions (they look awesome in the summertime!) and we're already booking fall families. It's shaping up to be a busy fall and holiday Season, so if you're planning to be photographed by Calotype sometime during the remainder of this year, I would advise you call ahead and schedule. 417.845.1151. It's not uncommon for us to book two months out during the October-through-December rush.
