Calotype is Offering Free Portrait Sessions to McDonald County Kids!

You may have heard that All-Star Pizza in Anderson is reopening. New owner Travis Lewis has asked Calotype Photography to create a sports-themed photo display of local kids, so we're extending a special opportunity to McDonald County parents. Here's the scoop:

• Calotype is going to do free portrait Sessions for nine kids, throughout June.
• Must be from McDonald County.
• Kids can be any age, as long as they're playing some type of sport.
• We want kids to come dressed in their sports uniform, and bringing some type of sports equipment. We're looking for anything to do with football, basketball, baseball, etc.
• Parents must sign a model release, so Calotype can use their child's image for advertising at All-Star Pizza, and on our website, blog and Facebook page.
• Not only will the portrait Session be absolutely free, but we're also giving parents an additional 10% off any package collections, if they wish to place an order.

A peek into our first round of "Little Models!"

"Little Models" runs from now until the end of June. It's half-price children's Sessions, featuring an extra variety of different backgrounds and outfit changes. It's the only time of the year we offer such a different mix for such a low price, so book now while the sun of Calotype savings is smiling upon us... :)

It's Time Again for "Little Models!"

We only do this once a year, and it's so much fun! A Session fee is $50 (reg. $100) and includes up to three different outfit changes. We'll move around the camera room, workin' it just like a real model, using a variety of backgrounds. No stiff poses here! Little Models is for children of any age, but we recommend ages 5 and up. (For little toddlers we suggest only one or two outfits, since their attention spans are so short.)

We book up fast, so call quickly! The Session fee is for our creative time only; there are no prints or products included. The Session fee is due to book the Session: we can take all major credit cards over the phone.

It's time to bring home our award-winning children's photography! You will love it!

Colleen Epperson (that's Mimi to Bella!) had a special request: portraits of her and her granddaughter together. Look What I Got for Mother's Day!

This Mother's Day stuff rocks. I've been rewarded for my venture into motherhood by gaining two Canvas Gallery Wrap portraits of my little man Jack— a Richardson (left) and an Art Series (right) for my office wall. The Richardson and the Art Series indulge my indecisive mind by allowing me to have ALL of the pictures of Jack looking so cute, instead of just choosing one. (How could I do that??)

But that's not all I got for Mother's Day. Jon is laying it on thick: I'm also rejoicing in a new pair of shoes! I found this little place in Joplin called Sophie that has the cutest selection of shoes— new to me— but I guess it's been there for a little while. Shoes, handbags, accessories— pretty much girl heaven.

Pictures and shoes. Can life get any better?
