Christmas in September: The Christmas Card Special

Christmas cards are one of the easiest and most personal ways to tell people how much you care about them. Don't you love getting Christmas cards, especially with photos?

So maybe we're prejudiced, but Calotype's custom-designed Christmas cards are fabulously awesome, and they're guaranteed to get "oohs and ahhs" when friends see them.

In September, book our "Christmas in September" special and receive, along with your Session, 20 Custom-Designed Christmas Cards and 23 Wallets.

For one/two children: $99. Pay in advance to book your Session.

For small families: $159. Pay in advance to book your Session.

Most of our clients tell us they want a timeless, non-seasonal look; but if you really want a Christmas sparkle and dash in your portraits, let us know and we'll be happy to accomodate you. Calotype is all about customizing our Sessions for our clients!

Brodie Arthur: Neosho, MO

Brodie is two years old. He was a little shy when he first came into the camera room, but he quickly warmed up once I discovered what made him happy— jumping from objects! So we jumped... he jumped, his mommy jumped... hey, we'll do anything for a great portrait!

Brodie is the son of Brandi and Tony Arthur. We're jumping for joy since they decided to choose Calotype to photograph their son. :)

Karys Harvey: Anderson, MO

Karys visited Calotype Photography for her three month portraits. What a cutie, in her little kerchief! She's the daughter of Kindra and Charlie Harvey. Thanks, Harveys, for bring Karys to Calotype. We love babies!!

Rylie and Roslynn Huston: Anderson, MO

Tara Mulloy and Scott Williams: Joplin, MO

Tara and Scott wanted to have their portraits taken together before they headed off to college for the fall. They were such a fun couple to photograph!

Emigail and Lydia Barnes: Jay, OK

Emigail and Lydia are such cute little sisters! They were more than happy to "work it" for the camera, like most little girls this age. I can't believe we're photographing fall clothes already... sigh... where did the summer go? (If you like Emi and Lydia's fashions, you can pick them up at Belly Buttons Boutique in Jane, Mo).

Emigail and Lydia are the daughters of Bill Barnes, from Jay, Oklahoma.

Scout Dannels: Jay, OK

This was Scout's second trip to Calotype Photography, so he was quite the experienced model! I love his blue, blue eyes. What a handsome fellow!

Madison Benner: Inola, OK

Isn't Maddie absolutely beautiful? I'm such a sucker for the blonde hair/brown eyes combination. (They match her chocolate dress perfectly). Maddie was every photographer's (and anxious mother's) dream. She behaved as beautiful as she looks!

Maddie is the daughter of Angie and Cass Benner from Inola, a small town between Tulsa and Claremore. We appreciate their long drive up to Calotype, and we're happy to show off these gorgeous portraits of their gorgeous daughter!

Calotype Photography Chosen as the Studio of The Month!

We are so absolutely pumped that Calotype Photography has been chosen by Simply Canvas, the number one specialty canvas lab in the United States, as their Featured Studio of the Month. Wow! What an honor! Our humble photography caught the eye of the Simply Canvas printers, and so they selected our studio from among thousands of other studios all across America. In their words, "...the studio was chosen as a result of its signature method of combining photography, design and the lost art of paper printmaking to create beautiful, distinctive photographic works of art."

Carr Family: Huber Heights, OH

We were so happy to photograph the Carr family: Rebekah, Philip and baby Wesley. Rebekah is my sister-in-law (she's Jon's sister) and they were in town for the wedding of Jon's other sister, Sarah, so they took the opportunity to visit Calotype for their first family portrait. We think Wesley is just too cute for words... good thing we have pictures!

Casey Family: Lemoore, CA

Also vacationing in the area (see below post), Jon and Janae Casey and their daughter, Addyson, came to Calotype for family portraits. Our fan base just keeps growing!
